Trekking to the Summit of Tavolara Island

Tavolara Island is a majestic limestone mountain rising 565 metres above the sea. 🏔️ A gem of Gallura, set in one of the most spectacular stretches of the Mediterranean, it looks like a mountain fallen from the sky — suspended between the vivid blue of the sea and white clouds. After reaching Tavolara by rubber dinghy, a 90-minute hike leads to the 'Pratone': an incredible natural terrace with a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Olbia. 🌊 The Pratone is reached via an equipped trail called Via Ferrata. Helmet, harness and kit are all included in the price. The difficulty level is suitable for anyone who is fit and comfortable with heights. Those who prefer not to tackle the Via Ferrata can wait for the group at the Pratone. After the Via Ferrata section, you reach Punta Cannone — the summit of Tavolara Island 🌟 — with a stunning panoramic view stretching from Capo Coda Cavallo to the Gulf of Olbia, all the way to Corsica and the Strait of Bonifacio. At the summit we take a 30-minute break, perfect for a packed lunch. After the break, we begin the descent. At the end of the day, you'll have the chance to enjoy the sea and take a swim on the beautiful beach of Tavolara. 🏖️ ✅ Included: rubber dinghy transfer, guide, helmet, Via Ferrata kit and harness. 🎒 What to bring: at least 2 litres of water per person, packed lunch, fruit, snacks, backpack and trekking boots with rigid soles. You may also bring a swimsuit and beach towel (stored at the base of the island). 📍 Meeting point: Porto di Cala Finanza.
