From San Teodoro: Codula Orbisi Canyoning in the Supramonte of Urzulei
trending_upDifficulty: MediumExperience one of the most impressive canyoning routes in Sardinia with canyoning in Codula Orbisi, located in the wild Supramonte of Urzulei, in the heart of the island. This spectacular canyon is known for its dramatic landscapes, massive limestone formations, and untouched nature, making it one of the most fascinating canyoning destinations in Sardinia. The adventure begins along the scenic SS 125 road near the famous Genna Silana pass, where a secondary road leads to the Planu Campu Oddeu plateau. The journey itself offers incredible panoramic views of the Supramonte, making it worth stopping for photos before reaching the starting point. From Sedda Ar Baccas, after leaving the car, a short approach walk leads to the first section of the canyon and the beginning of the Codula Orbisi descent. One of the most memorable moments of the route is the passage through the Grotta dei Colombi (Cave of the Pigeons), a spectacular natural feature hidden within the canyon. During the experience you will explore a wild canyon environment that combines adventure and nature: • natural pools and canyon passages 💧 • abseiling sections with harness • narrow gorges carved into the rock • breathtaking scenery of the Supramonte of Urzulei The canyoning route has a height difference of approximately 240 meters and takes about 5 hours, making it a complete outdoor adventure for those who want to explore the most authentic landscapes of Sardinia. The activity is led by an experienced ENGC certified canyoning guide, ensuring safety and support throughout the entire descent. All technical canyoning equipment, including wetsuits and safety gear, is provided. Participants only need to bring trainers or rock shoes, a swimsuit, a towel, and sufficient water (about 2 litres per person depending on the season). Canyoning Codula Orbisi in Urzulei is a unique outdoor experience in the Supramonte, perfect for discovering one of the most spectacular canyons in Sardinia. 🌿

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience last week on a canoyoning tour to Riu Pitrisconi. 10/10 reccommend! The tour was lead by Chicco and Pietro, both are great guys. They made us feel safe and at ease and gave clear instructions (also super clear in English). They explained many things about our surroundings - which were beautiful, and the water was very clear. Chicco set a very chill vibe within the group - he is made for this. If I would visit Sardinia again, I would for sure book another tour here. Tip: book directly via Sardinia Exploring - this will save you money compared to booking through your hotel/another party. Hope to see you again guys some time in the future! Grazie mille for a great experience. We loved it.

We booked the Canyoning Tour with transfer trough an old Land Rover Defender. The transfer was a experience on its own. The Guides Kiko und Pietro are really cool and took all the time needed to instruct the group. The tour was really exciting and we hat a lot of fun. Even as a beginner the tour was fine, and for the ones with a little experience it also held some challanges. I can really recommend it!!

Had a brilliant Monte Nieddu tour with Davide and a lovely group of people. We trekked through the beautiful natural area, with valleys, waterfalls and sprawling forests of juniper, cork oak and myrtle shrubs. We stopped to swim in a shimmering pool shrouded in silence and surrounded by wildlife from wild boars, butterflies and tortoises! Then, we continued into a clearing in the forest and ate fresh pecorino, sausage and traditional flatbread, with some brilliant wine. After, we travelled to a still in use fire watchtower, where Davide explained to everyone the importance of Sardinia’s fire watch, and we met some of them! Next we travelled to a shepherd’s hut, owned by a family for generations, where we tried limoncello and myrtle liqueur, traditional to the region. Both were brilliant and I was even given the recipe for the myrtle liqueur (but you’ll have to go yourself to find that out)! After I was dropped safely back at the hotel to say a bittersweet farewell! Throughout the trip our guide, Davide was extremely kind, helping everyone navigate the sometimes tricky terrain with ease. But he was also incredibly knowledgeable, speaking perfect English, French, Italian and even some Sardinian! He stopped to show points of interest and explain the science behind some of the nature, such as the geology, landscape and etymology of the area, whilst we stood overlooking the sprawling bays from high above! Even the whole experience taking place in a beautiful old Land Rover added authenticity and made it feel like a proper expedition. I came back buzzing and would fully recommend to everyone to go!

A must do when visiting Sardinia! Kiko and Pietro made this the most amazing experience in the most beautiful and versatile canyon on Sardinia! You can see that they truly enjoy what they are doing. With a lot op positive energy and fun! We booked this tour with our family of four, Two kids age 10 and 12. Kiko is and Pietro are very experienced mountaineers and they are great with kids. When it becomes exciting or scary for kids, they guided them through the hard parts and put them completely at ease. Thanks again guys for your enthusiasm and this amazing experience!
